Daymare : 1998 consiste en un survival horrorr en vue à la troisième personne, avec une caméra se situant juste au dessus de l'épaule, à la manière d'un Resident Evil. Recréant l'atmosphère des jeux d'horreur des années 90, Daymare instille un sentiment permanent d'oppression et de danger grâce à une direction artistique suggestive.
