F.3.A.R. sur Xbox 360 est un jeu de tir à la première personne dans un univers chaotique propre à la série. La campagne principale permet au joueur d'incarner Point Man alors que le mode coopératif permettra au second joueur d'incarner Paxton Fettel. L'univers survival-horror de la série est bel et bien préservé et les scènes d'action du jeu sont rythmées par les caractéristiques de chaque personnage comme le pouvoir de téléportation de Paxton Fettel ou la vitesse surhumaine de Point Man.
