God of War : Ghost of Sparta est le deuxième épisode de cette série de jeux d'action sur PSP. On retrouve pour l'occasion Kratos alors que ce dernier vient d'usurper le titre de dieu de la guerre à Arès. Le scénario de ce volet le situe donc chronologiquement entre les deux opus sortis sur PS2.
