Le Seigneur des Anneaux : Tactics sur PSP est un jeu de rôle stratégique au tour par tour où vous participez à des batailles à petite échelle (des escarmouches d'une vingtaine de participants en moyenne). Chaque bataille permet de gagner des points d'expérience et des pièces d'or : vous faites évoluer chaque unité en achetant des nouvelles compétences ou de nouveaux objets qui vont permettre de développer des tactiques spécifiques.
