Kingdom Hearts 3D : Dream Drop Distance est un action-RPG sur 3DS. Sora et Riku arpentent de nouveaux mondes Disney pour affronter les Avale-rêves en s'alliant avec des créatures appelées Esprits. Celles-ci possèdent leur propre interface d'évolution et se renouvellent au fil de l'aventure. De nouveaux mécanismes de gameplay font leur apparition dans cet opus, comme la fluidité et l'altération du réel.
