Folklore sur PS3 est un jeu d'action/aventure dans lequel vous incarnez deux héros pour deux intrigues différentes. Keats, journaliste sceptique travaillant pour le magazine Royaumes Inconnus et Ellen, jeune femme partie à la recherche de sa mère. Le jeu peut mettre en scène des éléments d'énigme, comme apprendre à capturer un Folk très imposant. Afin de vaincre des ennemis puissants, le joueur peut utiliser une combinaison de pouvoirs pour exposer l'adversaire et exploiter ses faiblesses.
