Resident Evil : Outbreak est un survival-horror sur Playstation 2. Cet opus de la série nous plonge à Raccoon City où une arme biologique secrète a déclenché une épidémie. Le joueur prend le contrôle d'un des huit survivants de ce cataclysme qui doivent trouver un moyen de quitter la ville le plus rapidement possible avant que le gouvernement ne lance un missile afin de détruire toute trace du virus.
