BioShock 2 est un jeu de tir à la première personne sur Xbox 360. Il se déroule 10 ans après le premier jeu et vous fait incarner un Protecteur. En tant que tel, vous devez traverser les rues de Rapture, la cité engloutie, et tenter d'obtenir enfin votre liberté. Pour y parvenir, vous devrez affronter de nombreux ennemis et prendre des décisions qui affecteront le sort de la ville toute entière. Mais la grande nouveauté de cet épisode tient à l'apparition d'un mode multi pour 10 participants.
