Mega Man 4 sur Nes est un jeu d'action plate-forme. Dans ce quatrième volet, le petit Mega Man doit d'abord affronter Dr Cossack qui clame haut et fort être le meilleur constructeur de robots au monde. Le Dr Wily fait aussi une apparition avec son armée de sbires à défaire. Comme toujours, Mega Man peut récupérer les pouvoirs de ses ennemis vaincus.
