Le Dr Wily et sa clique de robots maléfiques sont de retour dans Mega Man 2 sur Nes. Cette suite conserve le gameplay du jeu d'origine et voit le petit Mega Man parcourir huit niveaux pour affronter ses huit nouveaux adversaires. Comme dans le premier jeu, le héros récupère les pouvoirs de ses ennemis lorsqu'il arrive à les battre.
