LEGO City Undercover est un GTA-like jouable uniquement en solo, dans lequel on incarne l'agent de police Chase McCain, en chasse de Rex Fury, le grand méchant de la ville LEGO City. Grâce à ses 8 costumes différents, le héros peut jouir de différentes compétences et activer de nombreux mécanismes. Il est également possible d'explorer la ville librement pour y pratiquer tout un tas d'activités.
