Made in Abyss : Binary Star Falling Into Darkness est un action-RPG retraçant l'histoire originale du manga Made in Abyss. Rico est une orpheline vivant dans la ville d'Orse. Celle-ci entoure un immense gouffre appelé l'Abysse, qui regorge de trésors en tous genres. Lisa, la mère de Rico, a pu se faufiler jusqu'aux niveaux les plus bas de l'Abysse, mais n'est jamais revenue. La jeune fille va alors entreprendre un long voyage pour la sauver.
