Xenoblade Chronicles 3D est un jeu de rôle sur New Nintendo 3DS. Il met en scène le conflit entre les hommes et les machines, débuté suite à une bataille acharnée entre les dieux Bionis et Mékonis. Pétrifiés alors que leurs lames s'entrechoquaient, les titans abritent désormais deux nations rivales, celle des Homz et celle des machines. L'histoire raconte le périple de Shulk, un garçon qui hérite d'une arme surpuissante nommée Monado, capable de prédire l'avenir.
