Rolo to the Rescue est un jeu de plates-formes sur Megadrive. Le joueur contrôle Rolo, un éléphant qui s'est échappé d'un cirque et qui découvre le monde. Au cours de son voyage, Rolo rencontre plusieurs animaux qui se révèlent être des alliés de choix : un écureuil, un lapin, un castor et une taupe. Chacun de ces animaux dispose de capacités spéciales qui seront d'un grand secours au pachyderme pour qu'il retrouve le chemin de sa maison.
