Utawarerumono est un RPG qui suit l'histoire d'Haku, un homme sans aucun souvenirs. Le joueur a la possibilité d'incarner un des 12 héros issue de l'univers. Pour vaincre les hordes d'ennemis, la force et les compétences des personnages seront à mettre à profit. Un mode en ligne est disponible, pouvant rassembler un maximum de 4 joueurs sur une même session.
