Cadence of Hyrule propose de découvrir le concept de Crypt of the NecroDancer dans le cadre de la mythique licence de Nintendo. Les joueurs y incarnent Link ou Zelda au sein d'environnements générés aléatoirement et inspirés de l'univers de Zelda. L'exploration se fait au rythme de 25 musiques issues des différents Zelda, remixées pour l'occasion. Côté bestiaire, tous les ennemis de l'histoire de la licence sont présent.
