Bionicle est un jeu d'action et de courses à la troisième personne sur GameCube. L'esprit Makuta a infecté l'île de Mata Nui et a kidnappé des villageois. Les guerriers Toa se doivent de les secourir. Le joueur contrôle les six héros Toa dans un mélange d'action, de combat et de course, dans des environnements variés allant des montagnes enneigées aux champs de lave.
