Astal est un jeu d'action sur Saturn. Quartilia est un monde mystique très différent de la terre. Tout dans ce monde est créé à partir de diamants réalisés par la déesse Antowa. Même Astal notre héros et sa petite amie Leda ont été fabriqués à partir de diamants. Mais le démoniaque Jerado a décidé de prendre le commandement de cette magnifique planète. Astal va devoir tout faire pour empêcher ce démon d'effectuer son sinistre plan de domination. Le soft est jouable à deux en coopération.
